Becoming Who You Are Meant to Be …

Adjusting to a world that has changed …

In this new world of social distancing, we have all had a lot of time to experience life differently.

For some, it is more hectic, with children being home and spouses underfoot 😉, however it has also been a time where we find ourselves adjusting and becoming more.

Gaining more time, without a daily commute, has allowed me to be more active, focus on gratitude, and get in some expanded meditation. I also have realized that in this pocket of time, we can explore who we are without rushing from one thing to another.

Taking time to breathe…

Although the conference calls are back to back and the pace around me is still chaotic, reaping the time I have gained and committing it to self-reflection, I have learned some new things about the journey of life. I am embracing moments to expand and just breathe.

Some reflections:

  1. Starting the day with gratitude boosts positivity, and resilience.
  2. Meditation connects you to your inner core energy and provides insights to how you can unlock that energy in a positive way
  3. Motivation is intrinsic and extrinsic. We need both. And we need to be a motivator and motivated.
  4. A flexible mind (attitude) is a path to mental wellness.
  5. Strong, unshakeable faith is a solid foundation of strength. We can plan, plan, plan away our lives and yet, all of that can be tossed aside in life-altering events.
  6. When we genuinely face ourselves and cast away the self-doubt and the worry, we can become so much more.
  7. Always be open to growing… we can become more through experiences and interactions with others.

Life is a journey that is riddled with potholes. Some we can swerve around, some we have to bump through.

Unlocking who you are …

Knowing who we are and what we are capable of becoming, takes time with ourselves, and in-depth internal exploration. It also requires us to face ourselves in a clear way accepting our strengths and areas of growth.

Many times in my earlier years, I often looked to be validated by others. I never realized how unsustainable and fleeting that was.

Until I shifted my mindset and first learned to love myself, for who I am and what I am capable of, was I able to build that strong foundation of faith and self-love.

Final thoughts

We all have our internal struggles. Things that hold us back. Experiences that molded us. We can choose to let those experiences hold us back or become the momentum of change for what we can become.

When we unleash our inner fire, our inner core energy, and ignite the world around us with positivity and care, it can be a magnificent experience.

Be authentically you, love yourself, become who you were created to be, and Shine Brightly!
